Disclaimer: All events, characters are all fictionally. Chapter 2 After much wind and rain, there were 3 lowly paid workers working at a small corner of Ample. All workers are entitled to take some time off work to rest one’s soul. Resting and taking time off will recharge one’s energy… At a certain period of the year these 3 workers wanted to take some time off to rest. The policy of Ample is that notice must be given 3 days in advance. So this worker Haven gave 3 days in advance for the rest she is going to take. Mika too submitted ‘rest approval’ on the same day. However the day before Haven took her rest, the supervisor called and told Haven that her rest was not approve. The next day Haven can only report to work feeling very frustrated. Some hours passed through the day, Glory came to Ample (Tree) in her new car. This new car was bought for her by the boss. Glory went around the company monitoring the work processes, she would pick out the smallest problems. The 3 lowly paid workers were called to the office by Glory. She wanted to have a word with them. Lots of things were said during the few minutes. Glory told Haven and Mika that she and Perry (boss) has already approved of the rest. In the end, the rest was not approve because Greg (boss) has not approve. This was to said that the one has most power in Ample is Greg. Glory said she tried to help them but to no avail. Out of no where, Glory mentioned that the notice period was in fact 1 week in advance. The 3 workers were in great shock as this was the first time they ever heard… Glory took the time and effort to explain that she herself seldom took any rest from work. And if she ever took any, many people would reach her through her hand phone which was quite disturbing. “There are many rumors in Ample please do not listen to them. I am not a spy from Ample (Pineapple). We are all employers of Ample, We all work for Greg. So if there is anything feel free to approach me.” Glory said. Mika was actually shocked; Glory actually knows what kind of rumors are going around Ample. New rule of Ample: Rest must be taken 1 week in advance. |
